Swap the heat of the medina for Atlantic breeze. Essaouira is Morocco’s most relaxed coastal town — a walled port of whitewashed houses and blue shutters, where seagulls wheel over the ramparts and the fishing fleet lands its catch each afternoon.
The drive west takes about two and a half hours through argan groves, with a stop at a women’s argan cooperative. You’ll have several unhurried hours in town before returning to Marrakech in the evening — all private, at your own pace.

Your day, stop by stop
We collect you from your riad or hotel around 8am and head west out of the city, leaving the Haouz plain behind as the landscape opens into argan country.
A short stop at a women’s cooperative where argan oil is still pressed by hand. Watch the process, taste the amlou, and buy direct if you like — never any pressure.
Arrive late morning. Walk the Skala de la Ville — the great sea wall lined with bronze cannon, where the Atlantic crashes below and the views run for miles.
Wander the UNESCO-listed medina, its whitewashed lanes far calmer than Marrakech’s. Then down to the working harbour, where the blue fishing boats unload and the grills fire up.
Fresh seafood by the port, or a rooftop with a sea view — your guide will point you to the good ones. Then a few free hours to browse galleries, shop, or simply sit with a coffee.
We leave around 5pm and have you back at your riad by early evening, roughly 7:30pm.
